:: Orchid Painting ::

After I painted my mom her painting for Christmas, my sister joked that she wanted one and that her bedroom colors were turquoise and brown. So, when it came time for her birthday, I knew just what to get her. I painted another painting before this one (which I might put up later) but I just wasn't feelin' like it was right for her. So I ended up doing this one and I love it! I hope she does too.

:: Bachelorette Invites ::

I have been wanting to share these for a while but I wanted to make sure that all the guests got theirs in the mail first. Sure, I could have just made a facebook event for the bachelorette party, (which I ended up doing in addition) but thought it would be fun for the guests to get something in the mail. Plus, I just couldn't pass up the chance to do something creative.

I hand made each corset out of black card stock and ribbon. I think they turned out so cute! Not to mention that they go great with the Little Black Dress theme. Then, I designed the actual invite and drew the girls Illustrator. I put the invite in the corset sleeve, put them into the bright pink envelopes, and sent them to the girls for a fun surprise in the mail.

I did the bridal shower invites as well. I put them on the black paper with a pink ribbon on top to match the bachelorette invites. Now, all I have to do is get my house ready for 15 girls! I can't wait to celebrate my little sis getting married in my LBD!

:: Valentine's Day ::

To me, Valentine's day isn't about gifts but it is simply a day to let the person you love know that they are special to you. Mike loves Funfetti cupcakes, so I made some for him to remind him that I love him. (As if telling him 50 times a day isn't enough for him to know that!)
Recently, I learned a little trick about making the frosting pretty. I put the frosting from the tub into a plastic baggy and cut a little bit of one of the corners off. Then, apply the frosting to the cupcake in a spiral fashion.  It is cheaper than buying a pastry bag and makes the cupcakes look even more delicious!
I hope everyone had a fantastic v-day!
